What does it take to organize a successful film festival? A fine selection of movies, of course, as well as some eminent 'stars', exciting side events and … first-class visualization technology. Well, Oostende Film Fest (Belgium) has it all. Kicking off this Friday, 8 September, the festival chose Barco as its exclusive visualization partner.

A passion for movies
Oostende Film Fest was founded in 2007 by a group of film aficionados with an ardent passion for movies. Over the years, the festival has gained a solid position among Europe's film festivals. Its trump cards: a unique focus on Flemish and Belgian films, a great selection of international gems - featured in two competitions - and the Ensors, the national film awards. To make sure that all these exceptional movies are screened with the best possible image quality, Oostende Film Fest called in the help of Barco.

The highest possible contrast
For nine days, our Flagship Laser High Contrast projector (DP4K-20LHC) will play a key role on the big screen in Oostende's theaters. Ensuring a contrast ratio of 6,000:1, the projector doubles the contrast of our Flagship Laser Projectors, while still providing high brightness levels, superior color saturation and uniformity. The result: the movies that the organizers have handpicked will be projected on the premium large format (PLF) screens in the best possible image quality.
