Basler AG increases guidance for financial year 2017

- Confirmed sales-forecast: Euro 145 - 150 million

- New profit-forecast: EBT-margin 19 - 20 %

Ahrensburg, October 24, 2017 -BASLER AG, the leading manufacturer of industrial cameras is increasing its guidance for financial year 2017.

The so far strong sales level of the current financial year in combination with high gross margins prompts the management board to increase the profit-forecast for the present financial year. Furthermore, the organization adapts, in regard to the number of employees, more slowly to the new level of business than planned. For this reason, the expected pre-tax return margin will be in a corridor of 19 -20 % (previously 15 - 18 %).

As expected, incoming orders in the third quarter of 2017 have been significantly weaker compared to the first 2 quarters. Delivery times are back to the usual standard and anticipatory effects in the ordering behaviour of the customers have been straightened out. The sales-forecast for the financial year 2017 of EUR 145 -150 million has been confirmed and the corridor tightened towards the higher end.

The company's nine-month report and a first outlook for 2018 will be published on November 8, 2017.
