PUTCO partners with Ticketpro to give commuters the power of convenience

PUTCO, South Africa's oldest and largest bus company, has partnered with Ticketpro to manage bus ticket sales for the Soshanguve, Tshwane and Mpumalanga routes.

This joint venture is in line with both companies' commitment to making life easier for South African communities and delivering a great customer experience.

'We're excited to work with Ticketpro to make it easier to buy bus tickets at a time and place that is convenient for our customers. This is part of a significant investment we are making in improving our commuter experience. For example, we are also giving a facelift to the infrastructure at our major bus terminals,' says Romeo More, the spokesperson for PUTCO.

'We choose Ticketpro as our partner because it is a credible brand with an easy solution for commuters and shop owners alike. Like PUTCO, Ticketpro is a proudly South African company that is working hard to make services more accessible for people across the country, including many communities that are underserved.'

PUTCO commuters will be able to buy their airtime, data, and electricity and pay their DSTV and electricity, along with their bus ticket purchases, at over 200 Ticketpro outlets across Soshanguve, Tshwane and Mpumalanga. These include selected branches of Jet Mobile, Spar, Edgars Connect, Choppies, Edgars Active, Edgars Mobile, Power Fashion, and other selected independent outlets.

All Ticketpro outlets are in and around PUTCO passenger communities - so commuters can buy tickets near home or work and benefit from the longer store trading hours. Credit and debit card facilities are also available at selected outlets.

Where can customers buy tickets?

Commuters can buy bus tickets from over 200 Ticketpro outlets rather than from PUTCO offices or mobile ticket offices. Ticketpro stores selling PUTCO tickets include:

• Edgars Active
• Edgars Mobile
• CNA
• Jet Cellular
• Choppies
• Power Fashion
• And select independent outlets

The Mobile Ticket Offices along Soshanguve, Tshwane and Mpumalanga routes will soon be phased out, while Ticketpro will operate the PUTCO offices at Marabastad and Belle Ombre

The fixed office at Kwaggafontein will close, but commuters can now buy tickets at various stores in the Kwaggafontein Shopping Centre.
