Borussia Dortmund GmbH KGaA : announces preliminary results for the third quarter (Q3) of the fiscal year 2015/2016

Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA announces preliminary results for the third quarter (January 1st until March 31st, 2016) of the fiscal year 2015/2016:

Borussia Dortmund increased Group revenues by EUR 18.6 m. (i.e. +34,6%) to EUR 72.4 m. in the third quarter (previous third quarter EUR 53.8 m.). Adjusted for transfer revenues the total Group revenues increased by 19.8% to EUR 64.2 m. in the same time (previous third quarter EUR 53.6 m.).

According to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) the Borussia Dortmund Group total comprehensive income amounted EUR -8,8 m. in the third quarter (previous third quarter EUR - 8.4 m.) and accumulated EUR -13,4 m. in the first nine months (July 1st, 2015 until March 31st, 2016) of the fiscal year 2015/2016 (previous nine months report period EUR -4.7 m.).

Group Revenues amounted EUR 72,4 m. in the third quarter (previous third quarter EUR 53.8 m.) and accumulated EUR 240,5 m. in the first nine months of the fiscal year (previous nine months report period EUR 204.1 m.). Group gross revenue amounted EUR 72,9 m. in the third quarter (previous third quarter EUR 54.6 m.) and accumulated EUR 242,9 m. in the first nine months of the fiscal year (previous nine months report period EUR 207.8 m.). Group Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) amounted EUR 2,2 m. in the third quarter (previous third quarter EUR 2.7 m.) and accumulated EUR 27.7 m in the first nine months of the fiscal year (previous nine months report period EUR 33.4 m.).

Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA recorded Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) in an amount of EUR -9,6 m. (previous third quarter EUR -9.0 m.) and accumulated in an amount of EUR -20,9 m. (previous nine months report period EUR -6.5 m.) in the first nine months of the fiscal year 2015/2016. Earnings before taxes (EBT) in the third quarter amounted EUR -9,3 m. (previous third quarter EUR -8.9 m.) and the result in the respective report period amounted EUR -9,4 m. (previous third quarter EUR -8.9 m.). The result for the first nine months of the fiscal year 2015/2016 amounted EUR -14,6 m. (previous nine months EUR -7.2 m.).

With the realization of anticipated transfer revenues the management expects annual net profits in a double-digit million amount in the individual as wells as in the group financial statement for the total fiscal year 2015/2016.
