British Land is delighted to announce its most recent success in the 35th annual Arts & Business Awards run by Business in the Community. The partnership between the New Diorama Theatre and British Land was recognised by a Business in the Community Big Tick Award which celebrates the best of arts and business collaborations.

The New Diorama Theatre was built as part of the Regent's Place campus following consultation with local residents that revealed a need for a high-quality theatre building to act as a creative hub, promoting cohesion and providing a resource for the entire community.

Opened in 2010, the New Diorama Theatre has grown into a national recognised, multi-awarding winning venue with a celebrated outreach scheme and programme of work. Through British Land's support, the New Diorama Theatre has a generated an estimated economic contribution of almost £3 million and provided opportunities, projects and performances for over 22,000 local people.

James Danby, British Land's Director of London Leasing and a member of the Board of Trustees of the New Diorama Theatre said," We are delighted with the tremendous success of the New Diorama Theatre which is bringing new audiences to Regent's Place. The amount of interest the theatre has generated both nationally and internationally is impressive with over 15,000 Twitter followers and a record-breaking 19,000 tickets sold last year. We are particularly pleased with how much they give back to the community. We look forward to what the future brings."
