Fashion retailer raises funds for national humanitarian organization
The
Buckle, Inc., (Buckle) (NYSE: BKE) a leading fashion retailer has
partnered with The American Red Cross™ to assist in natural disaster
relief through limited edition t-shirts and financial contributions.
In support of those impacted specifically by Hurricane Harvey, Buckle
stores and buckle.com
are selling “God Bless Texas” t-shirts, where 100% of the proceeds will
be donated to the American Red Cross. Buckle also supports a co-branded microsite
where teammates and guests can go to make a secure, monetary donation to
the American Red Cross benefiting those impacted by Hurricane Irma and
Hurricane Harvey, as well as disaster relief.
“Based on the number of t-shirts sold and the contributions donated
through the microsite, we have already exceeded $100,000 in donations to
the American Red Cross,” said Dennis Nelson, Buckle President and CEO.
“Rather than stores engaging in individual campaigns, we’ve come
together in this company-wide effort to support those affected by
disaster.”
Buckle is pleased with the overall response from both teammates and
guests getting behind this cause to support those impacted by disaster.
