Bulgarian Stock Exchange-Sofia in partnership with 'Atanas Burov' Foundation and the youth entrepreneurship organization Junior Achievement Bulgaria once again participated in the international initiative to increase youth financial literacy Global Money Week. The initiative is held between March 27 and April 2 around the world under the slogan #LearnSaveEarn. During Global Money Week the young people expand their knowledge about money, saving, finding the most suitable job and developing their entrepreneurship skills.
In Bulgaria, Atanas Burov Foundation scholarship students took part in an Opening bell ceremony. In the past few days over seventy students from Veliko Tyrnovo and Montana visited the Exchange. Representatives of the management of BSE introduced the young people to the history and activities of the institution and the role of the capital market in the economic development of the country.
Hundreds of major international companies, financial institutions and over forty stock exchanges, including NASDAQ, UNICEF, London Stock Exchange, The World Bank, Bundesbank, etc. participate in the Global Money Week. More than seven million young people from over one hundred and thirty countries are being involved in more than thirty-four thousand activities during the Global Money Week this year.
The Global Money Week initiative is organised by the Child & Youth Finance International Foundation and its events are promoted by the European Parliament, European Commission and the World Assembly of Youth.
