MARINA DEL REY, CA, May 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Buscar Company (OTC: CGLD) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Buscar Stables, has acquired a minority interest in the thoroughbred racehorse “Tsunami.”

Tsunami is by the Kentucky sire Proud Citizen, the winner of the $150,000 Coolmore Lexington Stakes at Keeneland, a 2nd place result in the Kentucky Derby, a 3rd in the Preakness Stakes and a 5th at Belmont Park on his way to $638,822 in career earnings.

Buscar Company CEO Anastasia Shishova said ”Tsunami is now the second thoroughbred added to our stables this year following the announcement last month of our acquisition of Florida based filly “Sheza Superstar”, as the only publicly traded thoroughbred stables we are pleased to be following through on our goal to add to our equine portfolio and look forward to further strategic acquisitions in 2016.”

Proud Citizen is a Top Tier Stallion with more than $34 Million in progeny earnings. He hails from the female family of the great Natalma, best known as the mother of the sire of sires, Northern Dancer.

Tsunami comes from a very nice female family as well. His first dam Modjadji was a multiple stakes winner of $330,058 and won races from 6 furlongs to 9 furlongs. She raced 36 times with 6 wins and 23 in-the-money finishes. She has produced a half-brother to Tsunami that has earned just shy of $100,000 to age 5 and is still racing.

The second dam who was a multiple winner named Ms. Jiles who is a half-sister to 2 stakes winners in Pikepass and Patrick with career earnings of $101,763 and $185,725 respectively. She has also produced two Stakes winners, one stakes-placed runner and host of other solid multiple winners.

Amongst her stakes horses is Nkosi Reigns, a 19-time winner with $552,647 in career earnings. Tsunami’s 3rd and 4th dams are stakes-placed and a stakes winner respectively.

Tsumani has had 60 plus days training during the fall/winter of 2015 in Ocala, Florida at Ciaran Dunne’s Wavertree Stables, one of the top training centers in the country. He was then given 90 days off to relax and grow and mature into his large 17 hand frame.

He resumed training in March of this year and will proceed with his preparatory training in Ocala, Florida at Wavertree until around the middle to end of July.

Tsunami will then make his way to Arlington Park to finish off his training for that first start in his 2 year-old season around late August to mid-September at Arlington Park in Illinois.

He will be based in the summers at Arlington Park and could also be running at Keeneland, Churchill or Indiana Downs in the spring & fall seasons. He will be based at the Fair Grounds in New Orleans over the winters.

The colt will be trained by the recently crowned 2015-2016 Champion Fair Grounds trainer, Michael Stidham.
