• The bank, presided over by Chairman Isidro Fainé, has adapted its Management Committee to recent corporate restructuring and internal changes at the "la Caixa" Group, following implementation of the new Savings Banks and Banking Foundations Law in Spain.

At its meeting yesterday, the CaixaBank Executive Committee agreed to reshuffle the bank's Management Committee, adjusting the same to the corporate restructuring carried out at "la Caixa" Group following implementation of the Savings Banks and Banking Foundations Law.

The CaixaBank Management Committee is now as follows:

Gonzalo Gortázar , CEO.

Tomás Muniesa , Chief Insurance and Asset Management Officer (General Manager).

Juan Antonio Alcaraz , Chief Business Officer (General Manager).

Pablo Forero , Chief Risk Officer (General Manager).

Joaquín Vilar , Head of Audit and Internal Control (Deputy General Manager).

Xavier Coll , Head of Human Resources (Deputy General Manager).

Ignacio Álvarez-Rendueles , Head of International Business (Deputy General Manager).

Jordi Fontanals , Head of Resources (Executive Director).

Javier Pano , Chief Finance Officer (Executive Director).

Jordi Mondéjar , Head of Intervention, Management Control and Capital (Executive Director).

Óscar Calderón , General Secretary.

New appointments

Joining the Management Committee are Jordi Fontanals, who will be in charge of IT Services, Banking Services, General Service Management, Process Security and Efficiency; Jordi Mondéjar, who will oversee Management Control, Intervention and Accounting, Capital Management and Planning and CaixaBank Industrial Holdings; and Óscar Calderón, who will be responsible for the General Secretariat, Regulatory Compliance, the Legal Department and the Corporate Legal - M&A Office.

Javier Pano , who to date was the Head of Treasury and Capital Markets, will be the new CFO after Gonzalo Gortázar was unanimously appointed CaixaBank CEO at a board meeting on 30 June. Javier Pano will also oversee Market Creation, Liquidity, Market Analysis, Capital Markets and Investor Relations.

New responsibilities

Juan Antonio Alcaraz , Chief Business Officer, will now also be in charge of Electronic Banking, Quality and Strategic Development and Innovation.

Antonio Massanell was appointed CaixaBank Deputy Chairman on 30 June, and will now have executive responsibility over the International and Property Business divisions.

Meanwhile, reporting directly to the Chairman will be Jordi Gual, appointed as the new Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Research, and María Luisa Martínez, the new Corporate Director of Communications, Institutional Relations, Brand and CSR.
