Camden Property Trust (NYSE:CPT) announced today that it has been recognized as one of the 20 Best Workplaces for Gen Xers in the U.S., ranking #13. The ranking comes from an anonymous survey of Gen X employees administered by the workplace culture experts at Great Place to Work®.

“Camden team members are committed to building better communities by innovating, focusing on results and caring for others,” said Keith Oden, Camden’s President. “Our Gen X associates infuse our teams with energy and fresh ideas, helping Camden achieve success in new ways. This recognition is meaningful to us because we realize just how closely our employees' happiness relates to our long-term success and that of our customers.”

The 20 Best Workplaces for Gen Xers ranking is based entirely upon employees' own feedback and winners were selected from a database of some 620 Great Place to Work®-Certified organizations. To determine the list, Fortune asked Great Place to Work® to survey more than 109,000 Gen Xers (born between 1965 and 1980), who rated their organizations on 58 workplace quality questions. Employees considered advancement opportunities, generosity of benefits packages, genuineness of work-life balance support, connection with their colleagues, and the ability to make a difference in their work, among many other factors.

“There are more similarities than differences when it comes to what different generations want in a great workplace,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work®. “Our research shows that company pride, a sense of community and competent, ethical leadership can bring Millennials, Gen Xers and Baby Boomers together for a great, high-performing workplace.”
