Campbell Soup, Blackstone Among Bidders For WM Bolthouse Farms -Bloomberg

Campbell Soup Co. (>> Campbell Soup Company) and Blackstone Group LP (BX) have offered to buy Madison Dearborn Partners-owned WM Bolthouse Farms Inc., a provider of juice, carrots and salad dressing, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The company also received bids from other private equity firms, one of the people said, according to the report.

One person said bids were above $1.5 billion, Bloomberg reported.
