Cegid plans to sell its Hospitality
business

Cegid has entered to an agreement with SequoiaSoft (a software provider for companies in the hospitality and wellness segments of the tourism market) whereby SequoiaSoft has made an unilateral commitment to purchase Cegid's Hospitality business.

Through this transaction, Cegid is pursuing its growth and development by concentrating on its principal businesses, while SequoiaSoft moves a step closer to becoming one of the leading French providers on the hospitality and wellness markets. Subject to the required authorizations, the transaction should be finalized before June 13, 2014.

Cegid supports businesses as they undergo digital transformation. The company's recently-announced 2013 earnings were up sharply (€260 million in sales, €31.1 million in income from ordinary activities, up 37%, and €18.8 million in net income, up 49%) and intends to continue developing by concentrating on the businesses where it has a leadership position. These include financial and tax management, human resources/payroll and industry-specific solutions for the accounting profession and their small-company clients, for manufacturing, trade, services and retailing customers and for the public sector.

This plan also includes selling the Hospitality business, which represents annual sales of €4 million and employs 21 people. These employees will join SequoiaSoft as part of the planned transaction.

SequoiaSoft, formed in 2010 through the consolidation of ADN, founded in 1980, and Softbooking, founded in 2005, specializes in the development of software solutions for companies in the hospitality and wellness segments of the tourism market.

Through this transaction, SequoiaSoft, provider of the "SaaS in the cloud" solution, intends to step up its growth, with 80 employees and overall sales in the region of €10 million oriented around three product lines: hospitality, wellness, and nutrition. The software is used in more than 2,000 sites representing 35 million overnight stays.
