Eletrobras published today (30th) its Annual and Sustainability Report with information on the economic, social and environmental performance of its companies in 2014. Fulfilling its commitment to transparency and the best practices in business management, the company presents its targets, achieved goals, projects and investments as well as the results in energy generation, transmission and distribution business, in addition to highlights in its areas of operation. The collection of information that comprises the report included the participation of over 600 people in all Eletrobras companies. The preparation of the materiality matrix, which outlines the main issues to be addressed, also had a collaborative nature, involving different areas of the company and external public. This extends the points of contact between the companies and their stakeholders, enabling the report to be an effective engagement tool.

Prepared for the seventh consecutive year according to the guidelines of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), an organization responsible for creating the most respected world's sustainability reporting framework, the Annual and Sustainability Report 2014 aintained the Application Level B+, proving that it was subjected to external verification and met the internationally established requirements. The assurance of data was made by KPMG Brasil.

The theme chosen to inspire the 2014 report was innovation. And indeed the document highlights show how innovative Eletrobras is: inauguration of Megawatt Solar project, for energy generation with photovoltaic panels at the headquarters of the company Eletrobras Eletrosul; inauguration of Artilleros wind farm in Uruguay, marking the beginning of international operations of the holding; victory in the auction of Belo Monte transmission line, with companies Eletrobras Furnas and Eletrobras Eletronorte; creation of the Regulatory Board of the holding; and implementation of the Compliance Program in the Eletrobras Companies, reaffirming its commitment to ethics and transparency.
