Board Announcement

Further to the announcement on 29 May 2014, Centrica plc confirms that Chris Weston, currently Centrica's Managing Director International Downstream, will leave the Company on 31 December 2014.

Rick Haythornthwaite, Chairman, thanked Chris for his significant contribution to Centrica over the last 11 years, leading a number of our businesses, in both North America and in the UK.

With effect from 1 December 2014, Ian Peters, currently Managing Director British Gas Residential Energy, will assume the role of Managing Director British Gas, responsible for Residential Energy, Services and British Gas Business, on an interim basis and not as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company.  Rick Haythornthwaite said: "Ian has deep industry knowledge and experience and is well placed to assume this role on a transitional basis, as we seek a permanent replacement under Iain Conn's new leadership."

Notes to Editors:

Chris Weston will depart on 31 December 2014 and retain normal benefits up until that date.  No bonus or further payments will be made to Mr Weston and he will forfeit all future unvested benefits under the Company's long term incentive arrangements.

Ian Peters joined Centrica in 2002 from the financial services sector, taking up the role of Managing Director British Gas Business in 2005, and Managing Director British Gas Residential Energy in 2011.

With effect from 1 December 2014, Badar Khan, President and CEO of Direct Energy will report to the Chief Executive of the Company.
