This announcement is made by China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd. (the "Company" or "China Merchants Bank") pursuant to the requirements of Rule 13.10B of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited ("Hong Kong Stock Exchange").
The Company has resolved to appoint Mr. Xu Shiqing as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the
Company at the First Meeting of the Ninth Session of the Board of Directors of the Company.
The Company recently received the "Approval on Appointment Qualification of Xu Shiqing of China Merchants Bank" (Yin Jian Fu [2015] No. 117) from China Banking Regulatory Commission approving the appointment qualification of Mr. Xu Shiqing as Secretary of the Board of Directors of China Merchants Bank.
