Reference is made to the announcement of China Merchants Port Holdings Company Limited (the "Company") dated 11 September 2017 (the "Previous Announcement") in respect of the proposed discloseable transaction in relation to the acquisition of 51% equity interest in Zhongshan Port Group. Capitalised terms used but not otherwise defined in this announcement have the same meanings given to them in the Previous Announcement.

As stated in the Previous Announcement, the execution of the Share Purchase Agreement was originally expected to take place on 13 September 2017. As of today, the Share Purchase Agreement has not yet been entered into. The Company will make a further announcement as and when the Share Purchase Agreement has been executed.
