Wang Yupu, Chairman of Sinopec Group, met with Iceland's President Gudni Johannesson in Reykjavik on September 22. The two sides exchanged views on deepening the development and utilization of geothermal resources. Ambassador of China to Iceland Zhang Weidong also attended the meeting.

Under the witness of Iceland's President Gudni Johannesson and Sinopec Chairman Wang Yupu, Sinopec Star Petroleum Co., Ltd signed a China-Iceland geothermal technology research and development center cooperation agreement with National Energy Authority of Iceland and Arctic Green Energy Corporation.

9月22日，正在冰岛访问的集团公司董事长王玉普在雷克雅未克拜会冰岛总统约翰内松，双方就深化地热资源开发利用合作交换意见。中国驻冰岛大使张卫东一同出席。

当天，王玉普还和冰岛总理约翰松共同见证了中国石化新星石油公司与冰岛能源局、冰岛极地绿源公司《中冰地热技术研发中心合作协议》的签署。
