In honor of National Waffle Day, the hotels invited groups who service their region to enjoy complimentary hot breakfasts, featuring the Comfort brand's free signature waffles.

The invitation was in honor of the Comfort brand's special annual National Waffle Day theme, "Say Thank You with Waffles." During the the week of August 17, 2015 through National Waffle Day on August 24, participating Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites hotels around the United States served waffles to various groups that make a difference in local communities as a way of showing gratitude with their griddles.

During this celebration, Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites brand hotels in 43 states and Grand Cayman island in the Caribbean served an estimated 7,100 waffles and approximately 975 gallons of coffee. The only hotel brand to offer a flavored waffle option in addition to traditional plain, guests of Comfort brand hotels can potentially enjoy blueberry, strawberry, chocolate, spice, multi-grain and oatmeal almond when they sit down for their free Comfort brand signature hot breakfast. Blueberry is always a crowd-pleaser.

The "Say Thank You with Waffles" campaign took place during an exciting turning point for the Comfort brand, which is currently redefining itself across the board with a new look and feel for guests. The new brand tagline - "Rested. Set. Go." - captures the Comfort brand hotels' promise to help guests, whether they're traveling for business or leisure, feel refreshed and ready to take on the day.
