To mark World Mental Health Day 2017, Citi is hosting a powerful exhibition that will feature the compelling works of Daniela Raytchev, a contemporary, London-based artist whose content showcases her personal experience and observations of the human psyche.

“Emotional vulnerability is a strength not a weakness. This project, with the courageous support of all the participants, aims to raise awareness about addictions and break the stigma attached to them. In my experience honesty is the first step towards recovery. Mental health is as equally important as physical health and it is wonderful to see large institutions such as Citi supporting the idea.” Daniela Raytchev, Artist.

This exhibition, brought to you by Citi EMEA Diversity’s Minds at Citi initiative and the Citi Centre for Culture, exposes Daniela’s honesty and awareness of mental health. In her signature vibrant colours, she creates spirited, brave pieces that encourage open conversation about one of the most important health issues of our times.

“World Mental health day is the right time to talk about the challenges we all might face at different times in our lives. Breaking the taboo by talking about mental health and where to go for help is a key objective of our Minds at Citi campaign. We are thrilled to have Daniela’s powerful art showcased at Citi. Her work is truly mesmerising and we hope with this wonderful display we will open-up conversations on mental health with Citi employees. ” James Bardrick, head of Citi UK.

Minds at Citi is championed by James Bardrick and runs across EMEA in partnership with Citi’s disABILITY network and employee wellbeing programme, Live Well at Citi. The culture-based initiative aims to encourage our 10,000+ UK employees to seek help with the challenges they face in life and change how we respond to and act on mental health inside and outside the workplace.

Open to all Citi employees, this exhibit will show around the clock in the main foyer at Citigroup Centre in Canary Wharf from today Tuesday 10 until Friday 20 October.
