Taking part in the delegation of top businessmen accompanying Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu's visit to Pakistan, Chairman of Anadolu Group and Coca-Cola İçecek Turcay Özilhan commented on Coca-Cola İçecek's investments in Pakistan, a subsidiary of Anadolu Group. Stating that Coca-Cola İçecek is operating in Pakistan since 2008, Özilhan said that the Coca-Cola system invested over 450 million dollars in the country.

Underlining that the new plants to be built in Multan, Islamabad and Karachi in the next 3 years will multiply the company's production capacity in the country by 1.5, Özilhan said in the next 3 years the Coca-Cola system will invest another 300 million dollars, and continued:

"We are among of the top investors in Pakistan, one of the largest Muslim countries in the world with a population of 185 million. Pakistan is our second-largest market after Turkey. With 6 plants and 13 warehouses, we directly employ over 5 thousand people. Approximately 35,000 people are employed through our supply chain and more than 100,000 indirect jobs are created in other relevant businesses involved with the Coca-Cola system in Pakistan. Our double-digit growth rates in the last 5 years in Pakistan is a source of pride for us. Contributing with our investments to the Turkish economy in becoming a regional powerhouse, we also pave the way for other Turkish investors."

Stating that Coca-Cola İçecek operates in 10 countries including Pakistan, Özilhan remarked that they serve a population of 370 million people, ranking them the 6th largest bottler in terms of sales volume, and 2nd in terms of population within the Coca-Cola system.
