Convergys : El Salvador and World Vision Bond Together

• Agreement reaffirms Convergys' social commitment in favor of children in El Salvador
• Initial donation benefits over 200 students from two centers in Cantón Galingagua.

(San Salvador, El Salvador, October 29, 2014) Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), the global provider of customer management, signed a memorandum of understanding with World Vision in El Salvador to jointly develop collaboration and volunteering opportunities to help children gain access to quality and equitable education and improvement of the quality of life of families in our communities.

Company Makes Donation to Schools

As part of the partnership, members of World Vision along with representatives and volunteers from Convergys visited Cantón Galingagua in the department of Usulután last Friday, October 24th.  During their visit, they delivered an important donation of school supplies and celebrated over 200 children of school age with music and games.  This is just one of the multiple initiatives both organizations will implement, in a relationship that involves thousands of Convergys' volunteers who support children in El Salvador.

"All the school supplies donated to Cantón Galingagua today will be used to help students focus on their studies, knowing that education is the number one tool for those countries who seek a better life for themselves and future generations.  As an employer of choice, Convergys assumes its responsibility with tangible actions that help promote education and help prepare the workforce of the future in El Salvador", Bendeck added.

The principal of the School Cantón Galingagua thanked Convergys for their help and for partnering with World Vision to help promote the development of the community.  On the other hand, one of the students who received the donation said: 

"We thank Convergys for their solidarity and support. We are truly excited about an aid that will help us continue studying."

The Leader of the Development Program in the Municipio de San Agustín commented the following.

"In a town like San Agustín, it is a privilege to have the support of companies like Convergys. Our needs are many today and our children have limited opportunities. These kinds of donations motivate students to stay in school."
