Convergys : Las Cruces Hosts Back to School Community Carnival

(Cincinnati, Ohio & Las Cruces, New Mexico; August 21, 2014) Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in customer management, on August 9 the contact center in Las Cruces, New Mexico put on a back to school community carnival.

19 community agencies were in attendance, and provided carnival games and prizes for children to play.  Parents weren't left out either. The agencies had educational materials regarding resources the parents could utilize. In addition to the food vendors, the obligatory sno-cones and popcorn,  the Las Cruces Police department held and an Identify a Child booth.  The police successfully added 70 new children to the program.

The day before, on August 8, Convergys was happy to provide 60 children in the community school supplies that will last until the end of the 2015 school year.  $2,700 was raised in March through a spring festival that paid for the supplies.
