Change in the Executive Committee: Michael Riedel named new CEO of FoamPartner

Zurich, October 31, 2017 - The Conzzeta AG Board of Directors has appointed Michael Riedel as the new CEO of FoamPartner. He will assume the position on January 1, 2018 and will join the Conzzeta AG Executive Committee.

Dr. Michael Riedel (49, a German national) has worked in various positions at Clariant since 2009, including as Head of Business Excellence, overseeing the integration of Süd-Chemie, and as Head of Industrial and Consumer Specialties for the EMEA region. He currently holds the most senior human resources position at the company, Group Head Human Resources. Riedel's earlier professional career included managerial roles in research and development, production as well as operations at Höchst, Celanese, and SGL Carbon. He studied chemistry at the University of Münster, where he also completed a PhD in experimental chemistry.

This change at the FoamPartner helm and in the Conzzeta AG Executive Committee is part of the Group's existing growth strategy. Michael Willome, Conzzeta Group CEO, comments: 'Michael Riedel offers the ideal combination of experience and skills required for the next stage in FoamPartner's development. The current CEO of FoamPartner, Bart J. ten Brink (52), will resign as of the end of 2017 from his responsibilities as CEO as well as from Conzzeta AG's Executive Committee. The Board of Directors and Bart J. ten Brink have decided together, after eight years as CEO, to place FoamPartner's management into new hands. Bart J. ten Brink wishes to pursue a new challenge outside the Group. Michael Willome, Conzzeta Group CEO, comments: 'Bart J. ten Brink will accompany the handover to his successor. I would like to thank him for his many years of successful service. Under his leadership, FoamPartner has become one of the world's leading providers of foam materials.'
