Corporate Travel Management (CTM, ASX Code: CTD) has launched a dedicated in-house technology solutions architecture named 'CTM SMART Technology' - specialising in the development of a new breed of customer-facing technologies designed and built by CTM, engineered around a series of customer research initiatives.

"It's a really exciting phase in the evolution of CTM that will provide a highly innovative foundation to further enhance the technology solutions we provide to customers," said Laura Ruffles, CTM CEO Australia & New Zealand.

CTM SMARTTechnology will advance corporate travel technology in new ways, moving into a more rapid development framework, the company is well positioned to produce a range of new IP squarely aimed at further enriching travel programs both locally and globally.

CTM's Head of Marketing and Technology Solutions, Tom Clark said the organisation's new approach to technology is about creating a technology environment that is both scalable but also localised and nimble at the same time.

"My strong belief is that TMC's need to provide more customised technology solutions not just focused around core functionality but focused on the interface. Client side web development that offers a customised and intuitive experience will also be a major focus for us moving forward," said Clark.

"A mixture of elements needs to be carefully considered and put in place to build quality travel technology that is released in a fast paced and cost effective development environment. Not many get these elements right. We think we have the formula."

Over the coming months CTM will release the first stages of CTM SMART Technology in both the Australian and NZ markets.
