Home builders have exchanged contracts with Lidl UK on a plot at the 11 acre district

Countryside one of the UK's leading homebuilders and housing provider Home Group are pleased to announce that Lidl UK GmbH is to open a new store in South Oxhey. The 1,747 sq m (18,880 sq ft) food store is part of the third phase of the South Oxhey Initiative regeneration project, with construction to commence in 2020 and opening in 2022.

The South Oxhey Initiative is an 11 acre regeneration project in the heart of South Oxhey, near Watford, Hertfordshire. The regeneration will provide 514 new homes in a mix of private sale, shared ownership and affordable housing; as well as 5,109 sq m (55,000 sq ft) of retail and business space within a new public realm.

Mike Woolliscroft, Operations Director of Countryside's Partnerships South division said: 'This is a major milestone for the South Oxhey project. Lidl is a vital partner to the vision of South Oxhey.
