Daiichi Sankyo Offers Assistance to Victims of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake

TOKYO, Japan (April 18, 2016) - Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd (hereafter, Daiichi Sankyo) announced that, through the Japanese Red Cross, it will make a donation of 10 million Japanese yen and implement a matching gifts program* to assist victims of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake in the Kyushu Area of Japan.

The Daiichi Sankyo Group offers its deepest sympathies to those affected by this disaster and sincerely hopes that the regions affected by this catastrophe will be able to begin their rebuilding and healing processes as soon as possible.

*A program whereby a company pledges to match the funds contributed by employees and then presents it to the same charitable group, organization, etc.
