Data#3 provides key strategic pillar of the future learning environment at Edith Cowan University

July, 26, 2016; Brisbane, Australia: Data#3, a leading Australian technology provider, today announced the successful deployment of a next-generation Cisco network service for Edith Cowan University (ECU).

The services provided covered; strategy, design, implementation and ongoing management and included the transformation of ECU's existing network to the latest Cisco fixed and wireless technology. Data#3 was selected from a panel of Cisco Gold Partners due to their local professional services expertise, national education experience with other universities, and proven Cisco capabilities.

The solution allows the university to deliver a range of new and innovative services to end users, as well as rationalise costs and enhance efficiency. Students and staff now have access to fast and reliable wireless technology to support their learning and research requirements, plus ECU's Technology Services team can gain real time insights into network performance, resulting in improved decision making and risk management.

The new platform is managed by Data#3's Managed Services team in a 3+2 year agreement which will help to reduce IT risk, while sustaining maximum availability.

"The replacement of the existing network with next-generation infrastructure enables the provision of advanced services such as rich multimedia learning experiences to students, faculty and staff across all our campuses, and is a key strategic pillar of the future learning environment at ECU," says Elizabeth Wilson, Chief Information Officer, ECU.
