The revenue of the Derichebourg Group for the third quarter of fiscal year 2013-2014 totaled
€646.5 million, almost stable (-0.2%) compared to that of the same period of the previous year.
After nine months of activity, Group revenue amounted to €1.927 billion, down 4% compared to the previous year.

Environmental Services
On publishing its half-year results, the Group indicated that a low point seemed to have been reached with regard to volumes treated in the first half of the fiscal year, and that a slow increase in volumes was anticipated, particularly in ferrous metals.
Ferrous metals
In Europe, the volumes treated during the quarter were up 2.8% compared to those of the same period the previous year. This increase is due to a favorable basis of comparison in Italy, and a slight increase in volumes in France. After nine months of activity, the volumes treated in this year and the previous year were almost the same.
In the Americas, the volumes treated during the quarter dropped 13% compared to those treated during the same quarter of the previous year. After nine months of activity, the volumes of ferrous metals treated in the Americas were 21.6% lower than the volumes treated the previous year. This drop is due to a deliberate decision by management to favor margins over market share.
All zones combined, and given the relative importance of the Europe zone and the Americas, the volumes of ferrous metal treated during the third quarter were identical to those treated in the same quarter of the previous year. After nine months of activity, 2.795 million tons of ferrous metal have been treated, a fall of 3.6% compared to the previous year.
The volumes treated this past quarter were 7.4% higher than those treated in the same period of the previous year. After nine months of activity, the volumes treated were up 8.8%. All categories of non-ferrous metals contributed to this increase, particularly stainless steel.
The prices of materials treated by the Group were lower than those in the previous year and therefore there was a bigger drop in revenue than volumes.

Business Services
Revenue for Business Services during the third quarter amounted to €167.9 million, up 5%. After nine months, the revenue for Business Services was €490.4 million, up 6.3% compared to the previous year. All business lines contributed to this growth.
