In a business update, Derichebourg states that it expects to generate recurring EBITDA of between €140 and €145 million in the first half of the year, down by around €35 to €40 million on last year.

The services group explains that the financial impact of the cyber-attack it suffered in November, which disrupted its operations, is greater than initially anticipated, and is estimated at between 15 and 20 million euros.

Derichebourg has also had to contend with deteriorating economic conditions in its markets, and as a result, purchases of scrap metal by the recycling business fell by around 5% over the first six months.
