This renewal ranks HYGEIA among the few companies in Greece with a total of three updated management systems, while the company continues to comply with the requirements of PAS 99:2012, the top technical specification worldwide for integrated management systems.

The new ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards have raised the stakes for requirements, compared to previous versions. They place major significance on drawing up a business strategy based on systematic assessment of the risks and opportunities in all processes, with the aim of enhancing efficiency, communication and ongoing improvement.

The inspection was performed by TÜV Austria Hellas and was extremely successful, since non-compliance was not detected towards any of the three international standards. On the contrary, the inspection revealed positive findings, such as the mentality demonstrated by the staff for ongoing improvement over and beyond the standard requirements, the new methodologies developed and adopted, and the effectiveness of the initiatives undertaken (environmental management, and infection prevention and control program) within such a major and complex corporation such as HYGEIA.

Commenting on the recertification, the HYGEIA Group CEO, Mr Andreas Kartapanis, noted, 'Our transition towards the new ISO standards about a year and a half earlier than the internationally-set deadline makes us extremely proud and offers us yet another distinction. Along with the accreditation we have been holding since 2010 from Joint Commission International (JCI), this distinction demonstrates that HYGEIA has been putting into action its commitment towards its patients, employees and associates daily, in tune with the strictest international standards. Our aim is to continue to actively showcase the top scientific and operating level of HYGEIA, the quality of services we offer and our commitment to patient safety, inspiring the trust of our patients and the community in general.'
