Diagnostic and Therapeutic Center of Athens Hygeia SA (Hygeia) is a Greece-based company engaged in the provision of primary and secondary healthcare. The Company operates intermediate care, intensive care, bone marrow transplant, one-day surgery, and nephrology units, as well as pathology and surgical sector clinics. It offers services in the areas of radiology, vascular surgery laboratory-andrology laboratory, gastroenterology, dermatology, nutritional medicine, international academic affairs, cardiac catheterization laboratory and cardiac ultrasound-triplex laboratory among other. As of December 31, 2011, Hygeia's portfolio consisted of six private hospitals in Greece, Albania and Cyprus, 69 operating theatres, 39 delivery rooms and 11 intensive care units with 120 beds. The Company also controls procurement companies for the supply of pharmaceuticals, consumables and implanted devices. Hygeia has a network of diagnostic centers and subsidiaries in the region.
