Gräfelfing/Munich, 29 November 2011

manroland AG filed a petition to initiate insolvency proceedings on 25 November 2011. The insolvency proceedings are to enable speedy restructuring of the company and provide manroland AG with the opportunity for a successful new start on the basis of improved general conditions. manroland is the third largest manufacturer of offset printing machines worldwide and the international market leader in webfed printing systems. The Management Board of manroland AG filed a request for self-administration with respect to the restructuring efforts.

The Dr. Hönle AG Management Board does not rule out the possibility of sustained successful restructuring of manroland AG. In particular, according to the Dr. Hönle AG Management Board, there is a good chance that a (strategic) investor can be found for manroland AG within the scope of the insolvency proceedings. According to the Dr. Hönle Management Board, the initiated insolvency proceedings afford the opportunity to step up the necessary restructuring of the company and, consequently, to return to positive corporate development.

Dr. Hönle AG will initiate all measures required in the short term in order to keep the impact of the insolvency of the printing machine manufacturer on Hoenle Group's sales and earnings development as low as possible. Currently, the Management Board assumes that the existing favourable order position with manroland AG will not be impaired by the insolvency proceedings to any great extent as manroland AG's business activities shall continue to run as normal. The current receivables portfolio of the Hoenle Group vis á vis manroland AG amounts to ca € 1.4 million.
