Elekta has been added to the FTSE4Good Index Series (http://www.ftse.com/products/indices/FTSE4Good). This is a set of indices defined by the FTSE that measures the performance of companies demonstrating strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.

Launched in 2001, the index is designed for use in the creation of index tracking funds, derivatives and as a performance benchmark. This is the first year that Elekta has been included.

Being included in the FTSE4Good Index Series is an acknowledgement of the progress we are making in, for example, implementing Code of Conduct and Anti-Corruption guidelines, enforcing labor standards as well as becoming more environmentally sustainable.

Index governance is overseen by the independent FTSE4Good Advisory Committee, made up of leading global responsible investment market practitioners and experts in the principles and criteria use for determining the social responsibility of corporate entities.
