Regulatory News:

At the 3rd ESTRO Forum, April 24-28, at the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona, Elekta will showcase Elekta Radiosurgery Solutions – comprising the complementary technologies of Leksell Gamma Knife® radiosurgery system and Versa HD™ radiation therapy system – in addition to products that support the company’s Information-guided cancer care™ vision.

Elekta Radiosurgery Solutions
Elekta’s dedication to radiosurgery reaches back more than 70 years, when the company’s founder, Professor Lars Leksell, invented the first stereotactic neurosurgical system for intracranial pathologies. His ongoing commitment to provide a dedicated radiosurgical solution for treating intracranial targets resulted in the introduction of Leksell Gamma Knife. Elekta has followed Professor Leksell’s tradition by developing radiosurgical solutions that are based on each patient’s unique needs – their diagnosis, their disease stage and even their genetic makeup.

Elekta Radiosurgery Solutions provide this kind of personalized treatment – two systems each designed for a different high-precision treatment approach, so clinics can employ the systems most suited to their clinical and workflow requirements. In this way, health care providers can ensure that patients receive personalized treatment for their individual pathology and circumstances, while at the same time increasing effectiveness and efficiency.

On April 25 at 10:14, (booth #400), Elekta will unveil the next-generation radiosurgery solution, representing the new standard in radiosurgery.

Information-guided cancer care
As software continues to play a critical role in cancer care, Elekta will share its vision of Information-guided cancer care, designed to transform how patients receive care, by empowering physicians to connect with the information they need to treat patients more effectively. In support of Information-guided cancer care, Elekta will demonstrate:

  • Monaco® treatment planning : The latest version, Monaco 5.1, features planning enhancements including forward planning capabilities, import/export of templates, MRI and 3D planning.
  • MOSAIQ® oncology information system: The latest version of MOSAIQ provides a number of enhancements to improve workflow, integration and efficiency.
