2018-06-04 Social responsibility characterizes Esprit's corporate philosophy. This also applies to the team of the company restaurant known as the e*lounge: every day they focus on the happiness and health of the more than 1,000 employees at the company headquarters in Ratingen, Germany. The e*lounge offers a rich selection of delicious and healthy food throughout the working day, in a modern dining hall which has become the social hub of the company. The e*lounge team maintains close partnerships with farmers and suppliers in the region and sources most of its food from organic production.

For this commitment restaurant manager Martin Friedrich and his team were awarded the INTERNORGA Future Prize in March. INTERNORGA is Euope's leading trade show for food service and hospitality. The Future Prize honors particularly innovative and sustainable companies for their food service offer.

The e*lounge stands out from the usual company restaurants with exceptional quality, innovation, creativity and excellent taste. Restaurant manager Martin Friedrich, former head Poissonier of Eckart Witzigmann and responsible patissier at Dieter Müller, and his team prepare a selection of fresh dishes every morning and noon. The offer ranges from green smoothies and pancakes in the morning to a large selection of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes at lunchtime to fine snacks for the small appetite.
