Evonik Industries : For efficient plant protection

The third BREAK-THRU® workshop (following similar events in Belgium and South Africa) was held in Moscow (Russia) and the topic was the formulation of efficient plant protection products with additives from Evonik.

Some 25 representatives from twelve plant-protection product manufacturers from Russia, the Ukraine, and Belarus - predominantly formulation chemists and decision makers - took advantage of the event to talk about their requirements and experiences in practice. Evonik presented its capabilities and its product range for the agricultural industry.

For the first time, in addition to the Interface & Performance Business Line as host, the Crosslinkers and Silica Business Lines also participated in the BREAK-THRU® workshop. Together, they produce numerous additives that are required for the formulation of plant protection products. These include spreaders, wetting and dispersing agents from Interface & Performance, the solvent VESTASOL® IP from Crosslinkers, and AEROSIL® rheology modifiers and SIPERNAT® carriers from Silica.

Since 2016, Interface & Performance and Crosslinkers have been providing mutual support in Russia to develop the market, and recently they have been collaborating in the development of SE formulations (suspo-emulsions) for the crop protection industry.
