Passport's IntelliSource named Category Leader in 2013 Best in KLAS Report
Platform ranks as Patient Access - Eligibility Verification Category Leader for second consecutive year

Franklin, Tenn., Feb. 25, 2014 - Passport®, a part of Experian, today announced that IntelliSource® has been named Category Leader in Patient Access - Eligibility Verification, according to the 2013 Best in KLAS: Software and Services report. This is the second consecutive year that IntelliSource has achieved this ranking.

"We are honored to be a part of KLAS' 2013 rankings, especially knowing that our customers submitted valuable feedback to solidify the category leader position again this year," said Scott MacKenzie, CEO at Passport. "We believe that these designations are a testament to our dedication in providing quality products and services that drive efficiency for our clients. Now that Passport is a part of Experian, we are able to provide healthcare organizations with a fully integrated suite of offerings from one provider that address every facet of the revenue cycle for more payment certainty and accuracy from patients and payers alike."

IntelliSource earned the highest score of all vendor products in the Patient Access - Eligibility Verification category of the 2013 Best in KLAS Awards: Software and Services report, with an overall score of 87.2.

An integrated, rules-based workflow system, IntelliSource is the platform that supports Passport's entire patient access suite of products and services. Organizations leveraging the suite report significant increases in efficiency; improved collections efforts across a shortened time frame; and reductions in denials by automating the patient access workflow and proactively alerting staff when specific action is required. In addition, IntelliSource is customizable based on specific client rules, and information is standardized across all payers and data sources.

KLAS is the leading source of healthcare information technology vendor performance metrics, providing accurate, honest and impartial ratings to help healthcare providers make informed decisions. The independently owned and operated organization monitors vendor performance by gathering feedback from healthcare providers across North America and ranks vendor products based on overall customer satisfaction. KLAS conducts more than 1,900 healthcare provider interviews per month and has ratings on more than 250 healthcare technology vendors and more than 900 products and services.

Passport's next-generation Software-as-a-Service-based product, eCare NEXT®, is built from the IntelliSource platform. eCare NEXT offers a work queue-driven, fully integrated platform that uses Touchless Processing™ to intelligently automate revenue cycle workflows and financially clear patients.

By automating these processes, healthcare organizations are able to centralize operations, where appropriate, and focus resource efforts only on those exceptions that need attention. The resulting benefit is significant in that it optimizes payment certainty across all patients while giving healthcare providers the ability to manage all orders, scheduling, registration and financial clearance through a single business partner. eCare NEXT also supports population health management initiatives by streamlining workflow, identifying and managing specialty members at the point of service, and reducing readmissions.
