Dr. Trey Morrison will be speaking on process safety management in the LNG industry at GasPro Americas on September 14, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Dr. Morrison actively consults on issues of process safety in the food, chemical, and oil and gas industries with special emphasis in LNG. Dr. Morrison's talk is abstracted below:

Achieving sustainable Process Safety Programs in Small- and Mid-Scale Liquefaction

A well designed and implemented Process Safety Management (PSM) for small- and mid-scale liquefaction facilities goes beyond properly identifying or communicating knowledge of cryogenic LNG and natural gas flammability hazards. Aspiring to PSM excellence requires careful consideration of regulatory and industry best practices to define policies, procedures, activities, and culture required to properly manage the hazards in a liquefaction facility.

The presentation will answer questions such as: How does PSM apply in LNG? How do you identify and implement those practices? What are the key points operators should consider to achieve a cost-effective and sustainable PSM program?
