Dr. Alicia Taylor, Senior Scientist in Exponent's Ecological and Biological Sciences practice and Elaine Freeman, Managing Scientist in Exponent's Chemical Regulation & Food Safety practice, prepared a presentation to be given by Dr. Taylor on May 16, 2017 during the Nano-EHS Implementation and Regulation session at the NanoTech 2017 Conference. The title of the talk is 'Nanotechnology Regulation and Implementation in Industry.'

The presentation will provide a framework for discussing challenges with defining 'nanomaterial', best methodology practices to accurately characterize the material and test toxicity, and regulatory agency use of new types of generated data to create policies and help standard testing methods.

NanoTech 2017 is one the world's largest nanotechnology events and the conference is only event of the larger 2017 TechConnect World Innovation meeting. The purpose of both events are to help accelerate commercialization of laboratory innovations into industry application. At NanoTech 2017, government, academia, investors, business executives, and industry members gather to develop commercialization partners, develop product opportunities, identify new research and technology trends, and develop new tools.
