Exponent consultants are co-presenting a seminar at the San Francisco Bar Association, Solo and Small Firm Section Luncheon on July 11th. Dr. Caroline Crump from the Human Factors practice, and Mr. Ryan Harrington from the Vehicle Practice will be co-presenting 'The Changing Nature of Driving: Implications of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Highly Automated Vehicles (HAV)' with two litigators from Shook Hardy & Bacon.

Abstract

This panel discussion will assist attorneys with understanding the benefits and limitations of advanced-driver assistance systems as well as providing a strategic overview of what is necessary to find the root cause in the event of an accident. The legal issues surrounding ADAS and automated vehicles will be numerous and will affect and direct the way that incidents and cases are litigated from both sides of the table.
