Fiat Chrysler Automobiles : FCA Heritage returns to the Retromobile Show

• FCA Heritage, the Fiat Chrysler Automobile team in charge of promoting the heritage of the Group's Italian brands, will be at the Retromobile Show again this year (7-11 February 2018).
• Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia and Abarth to showcase 4 collector's models.
• To illustrate the strength of the link between past and present, exhibits will include a Abarth 695 Rivale and an Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
• FCA Heritage press conference scheduled for 7 February at 10.30am at Stand 1 K 070.

FCA Heritage, the Group's department dedicated to promoting the heritage of FCA's Italian brands, has confirmed its spot at the Retromobile Show this year. This major European event is taking place at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre in Paris from February 7 to 11. FCA Heritage will showcase four collectibles on its 350 m² stand at this prestigious convention dedicated to collection cars and motorcycles. These models illustrate the great moments of the Italian car through four brands - Fiat, Abarth, Lancia and Alfa Romeo - four coachbuilders (Pininfarina, Bertone, Allemano and Zagato) and four different eras spanning 1957 to 1989.

The public will be able to appreciate the rarity of mythical or little-known coupés including the Lancia Appia Coupé, Fiat Dino 2400 coupé, Abarth 2400 coupé and Alfa Romeo SZ.

The exhibit will feature two models recently launched by the FCA Group, their inspiration and legitimacy drawn from the glorious history of their brand: the Abarth 695 Rivale, the new Scorpion icon, accompanied by the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, a veritable flag bearer of the Biscione range.

Press conference: Roberto Giolito, Head of FCA Heritage, will introduce the department's projects and current 'works in progress' at a press conference to be held at Stand 1 K 070 on Wednesday, 7 February at 10.30am. Roberto will also reveal details about a new project to be launched this year.

FCA Heritage: This Group department set up in 2015 has developed a whole range of services for collectors and car enthusiasts of the Group's Italian brands. The Group's dedicated heritage site, www.fcaheritage.com, is now available in French. As a showcase for FCA Heritage and meeting point for all those interested in history, events and initiatives devoted to the classic models of the FCA Group's Italian brands, this site offers enthusiasts and owners of Fiat, Abarth, Lancia and Alfa Romeo classics the chance to discover the services on offer, subscribe to a dedicated newsletter and apply online for a certificate of origin. Lancia and Abarth owners can also use the restoration and certification of authenticity service offered by FCA Heritage.

Showcased models

Lancia Appia Coupé: first launched in 1953 as a sedan, 3 different series of the Lancia Appia were sold over 10 years. Various coachbuilders tried out several second-series derivatives: Allemano, Boano, Zagato, Ghia, Vignale, Viotti... Pinin Farina, for his part, designed this elegant, technically sophisticated 2+2 coupé. Its compact V4 1089 cm³ engine generates 53 hp. This model was produced for 5 years from 1957 to 1962.

Fiat Dino 2400 coupé: this project is the result of an agreement with Ferrari to supply Fiat with a new V6 engine. This allowed Ferrari to produce enough engines to be accepted into Formula 2. With this V6 engine and its 160 hp (then 180 hp as a 2.4-litre version), the Dino coupé's technical features were way ahead of the rest when it launched at the Turin exhibition in 1967. A picture of elegance in their signature Bertone lines, 6,068 Fiat Dino coupés were produced before 1972.

Abarth 2400 coupé: this very beautiful Michelotti signature coupé was launched in Geneva in 1959. Derived from the Fiat 2100, it was produced at Allemano from 1962 to 1964, first under the name 2200 coupé then 2400 coupé in 1964. The 6-cylinder 2400-series generates 140 hp and reaches speeds approaching 200 km/h. Interesting fact: the model on show belonged to Carlo Abarth himself.

Alfa Romeo SZ: Carrozzeria Zagato's history with Alfa Romeo dates back to the 1920s. His creations were all about improving performance. Initially showing a rare touch of elegance, his models would become more personal and original in style, such as the SZ coupé (short for Sport Zagato), launched in Geneva in 1989. Designed together with Alfa Romeo, it catches the eye with its aerodynamic (CX of 0.30), unusual and very geometric lines, but also its road qualities. Almost 1,000 models were made.

Abarth 695 Rivale: this special edition was born from the marriage of two Italian brands that excelled in the field of technology, innovation, attention to detail and the drive for performance. Riva, which has always been synonymous with Italian elegance and style, helped create the most sophisticated Abarth ever made. With its 180 hp engine, its performance, refined style and aesthetically pleasing grey colour scheme, the 695 Rivale is directly inspired by the new open yacht 56' Rivale, one of the best-performance yachts ever built by Riva.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio: the first Quadrifoglio that is also an SUV - that's how we define the Stelvio Quadrifoglio. This exceptional model has technical features that set benchmarks in its category: a highly inspired design, prestigious 510 hp V6 engineering, breathtaking performance and top-of-the-range technology. It is now the fastest SUV on the circuit, having broken the record for its category at the Nürburgring, at 7 minutes 51.7 seconds. With so many assets, it is destined to become one of the brand's great classics.
