AWARD FOR ITS INNOVATIVE PROJECT “FEELING”[1]

The FIGEAC AÉRO Group (ticker: FGA), a leading partner of major aerospace industry is proud to receive the "Showcase of Future Industry" label awarded by “L'Alliance Industrie du Futur" chaired by Philippe Darmayan, in the presence of Christophe Sirugue, French Secretary of State for Industry. This state-supported label aims to give visibility to innovative French technology solutions and to share best practices with the national ecosystem.

FIGEAC AÉRO specialises in the production of structural parts in light alloys and hard metals, engine parts, landing gears and sub-assemblies. FIGEAC AÉRO was again singled out at the highest level for its creation of an innovative and integrated production line for the production of new-generation shells in connection with the LEAP program, for which the Group won two long-term agreements valued at US$ 500 million and US$ 40 million.

Construction of a building of 7,500 sq.m. for the new production line

FIGEAC AÉRO has incorporated several efficient technological innovations in the new workshop to maintain rates of production. This new production line will include 12 milling towers, palletised by an FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System). All workstations will be automated and connected thanks to the implementation of a global information system, MES (Manufacturing Execution System), which collects real-time production data through drift indicators (rating drift, machine faults, etc.), to make the right decisions as early as possible in the production chain. To manage geometric drifts, the system combines SPC (Statistical Process Control) and connected control tools.

Task productivity is improved thanks to robotics, with task full automation, and corobotics, with human assistance via a robot on recurring or tedious tasks. Furthermore, a system will allow the movement of parts in the workshop by trolley or by air.

Industrial excellence at the service of growth

Thanks to the introduction of these innovative technologies, the FIGEAC AÉRO Group aims to achieve industrial excellence through a production tool that is unique in Europe, ensuring the comfort and safety of operators in order to improve productivity and make production more reliable.
