Gail Letts joins First Tennessee Bank as Virginia market executive

RICHMOND, Va., (Aug. 18, 2015) - Gail Letts, a banking veteran with more than 30 years in the industry, has joined First Tennessee Bank's Mid-Atlantic Region as Virginia market executive, working in the bank's Richmond office. First Tennessee is a subsidiary of First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN).

In her new role, Letts will manage the consumer, commercial and private banking lines of business in the markets served by First Tennessee Bank's Richmond office, which first opened in 2008. The company recently moved to its new Richmond office at Reynolds Crossing in Henrico County.
Between April 2013 and August 2015, Letts served as president of the Richmond region and chief lending officer at C&F Bank, where she led its commercial and business banking team. Prior to C&F, Letts worked for 30 years at SunTrust in a variety of management and senior leadership roles in Baltimore, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Richmond. Between 2007 and
2013, Letts served as SunTrust's president and CEO for the Richmond Region.
Active in the community, Letts currently is chair of the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority and serves on the boards of the Virginia BioTechnology Research Park, the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business Foundation, Richmond's Future, The First Tee of Richmond & Chesterfield and the YMCA of Greater Richmond.

Letts received a B.A. in English from Wilkes University and certificates of accomplishment from the ABA Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma and the College for Financial Planning. She also attended executive leadership programs at Fairfield University and the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
