The infrastructure will be able to supply over 1,600 households and businesses in the municipality.

The Managing Director for Energy at the Autonomous Community of Valencia's regional government, Antonio Cejalvo, the CEO of Gas Natural Cegas, Roberto Cámara, and the Mayor of Bellreguard, Jaume Ascó, presided over today's official opening of the supply valve, symbolising the arrival of the natural gas in the town.

Over the next two years, the company will be investing close to 290,000 euros in the construction of a 3.3-km distribution grid that will enable more than 1,600 households and business to have access to this energy source and benefit from its advantages. The streets along the grid's path will include Ronda Mestre Serrano, Avda dels Esports, Calle Cervantes, Valencia and Plaza de España. At present, over 150 households have already requested the gas service, and 60 of these are now receiving it. The company expects the grid to be completed within the coming months.

Natural gas is the most competitive and environmentally friendly fossil fuel available today. Gas is an energy of the future, helping to bring greater efficiency to the production processes of industries and businesses and improving the comfort and quality of life at home.
