Gas Natural SDG : Fenosa renews its sponsorship of the Feroz Awards for the fourth year running

• In an announcement made earlier today at the Zinemaldia Feroz Award ceremony in San Sebastián, the company confirmed that it will sponsor this initiative of the Spanish Cinematographic Informers Association (AICE) for the fourth time.

GAS NATURAL FENOSA is once again the main sponsor of the Premios Feroz for the fourth year running. The General Manager of Communication and the President's Office at GAS NATURAL FENOSA, Jordi Garcia Tabernero, announced the renewal of the company's collaboration during the presentation of the Zinemaldia Feroz Awards at the 64th San Sebastián Festival.

The film that received the award at the ceremony was El Hombre de las Mil Caras, by Alberto Rodríguez, considered to be the best film in the official section by the Spanish Cinematographic Informers Association (AICE), made up by accredited Spanish journalists and film critics at the San Sebastián film festival.

The General Manager of Communication and the President's Office at Gas Natural Fenosa,Jordi Garcia Tabernero, stressed the importance of promoting initiatives such as the Feroz Awards, which 'foster quality, creativity, originality and talent in our cinema, and endow it with prestige and respect, both nationally and internationally'.

The awards will be presented in Madrid in January 2017 and acknowledge the merit and quality of the year's Spanish film production. There will be six new categories added to this fourth edition, with awards for the best Spanish TV series and an honorary award for the best feature documentary. The Spanish Cinematographic Informers Association is a group of over 170 journalists and critics who report on cinema in different media (television, radio, press and internet) all over Spain.

Sponsorship of the Feroz Awards is one example of the multinational energy firm's commitment to the world of cinema, with its support for the country's main festivals and cinemas. The energy company recently presented 'Cabra y oveja'at this San Sebastián Film Festival. It is directed by Kike Maíllo and is the first part of 'En tu Cabeza'. This initiative consists of four inter-linked parts, written by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, for the third edition of CINERGÍA, which is looking to popularise energy saving and efficiency among the general public.

The other three parts, directed by Borja Cobeaga, Daniel Sánchez Arévalo and the winner of the 'Talento Cinergía' prize at the MadridCortoFest, Alberto Ruiz Rojo, will premiere at the main film festivals in Spain, also sponsored by GAS NATURAL FENOSA.
