PLACEMENT TRANCHE 1 SETTLEMENT

Gascoyne Resources Limited ("Gascoyne" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that settlement of Tranche 1 of the recently announced $50,000,000 Placement has occurred today.

The company today issued 74,900,000 shares to institutional and sophisticated investors after receiving $35,081,287 (net of costs) in proceeds.

A shareholder meeting seeking approval to issue Tranche 2 of the Placement, being 25,100,000 shares, is scheduled for the 10th of March 2017.

Spartan Resources Limited, formerly Gascoyne Resources Limited, is a gold company with a portfolio of assets in Western Australia. The Companyâs flagship asset is the Dalgaranga Gold Project, located approximately 65 kilometers (km) north-west of Mt Magnet in the Murchison Region of Western Australia. The project includes a developed gold mining operation and an exploration landholding with opportunities for new discoveries. Its Yalgoo Gold Project, centered around the Melville and Applecross Gold Deposits, is situated approximately 20 kilometers (km) north of the township of Yalgoo in Western Australia. Its Glenburgh Gold Project is located in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The project is an advanced exploration project comprising 11 gold deposits split into three main gold enrichment zones along a 13km-long shear system. The Mt Egerton Gold Project is located in the Gascoyne Region of Western Australia. Its Mt Egerton is located approximately 180 km east of Glenburgh.
