The recently acquired Liechti Engineering AG, Langnau (CH), won a USD 30 million (approx. CHF 28 million) order from a well-known aircraft engine manufacturer. The order consists of a large number of milling machines as well as related services.

The ordered machines will be used to produce the key rotating elements of the new engines which will equip the incoming generation of Airbus and Boeing aircrafts. Delivery will take place from 2015 to 2018.

Liechti Engineering AG is the worldwide market leader for 5-axis milling machines for aircraft engines and power generating turbines. Aerospace is a key target sector for GF Machining Solutions owing to its considerable growth potential.
