Geotechnical failure at Katanga Mining Limited - Update

Glencore notes the update made today by Katanga Mining Limited. It is with deepest regret that two bodies have been recovered from the KOV open pit. The search for the remaining five individuals continues with all available resources allocated to the search and rescue operations.

Katanga has set up two emergency rooms to support the search and rescue operations. A separate support and counselling centre for the families of the affected individuals has been placed in Kolwezi town, which is located close to the operations.

All relevant authorities have been informed and Katanga is working closely with them. Further updates will be issued as appropriate.
