GLOBALSTAR TO SHOWCASE AFFORDABLE, GLOBAL SIMPLEX SATELLITE SOLUTIONS AT CTIA 2015

Covington, LA , August 13 2015- Globalstar Inc. (NYSE MKT: GSAT) will be exhibiting its innovative simplex technology at CTIA 2015 in Las Vegas, September 9 - 11, including the recently launched SmartOne C, a new one-way asset manager for commercial and government customers, and the STX3 simplex transmitter. The new Globalstar network and these enhanced products enable corporate and government users to monitor vital infrastructure, taking advantage of the capabilities of M2M and the emerging Internet of Things.

A wide range of customers can benefit from Globalstar's near-global coverage which now includes pan-African coverage via the new Globalstar gateway in Gaborone, Botswana.

Oil and gas, mining and construction providers benefit from solutions that monitor remote pieces of equipment. Commercial trucking and transportation companies can more accurately track and monitor their fleets because at the core of the SmartOne is a motion sensor that alerts owners to any motion, such as attempts of theft. The device not only relays a vehicle's location accurately, but it can dynamically report engine runtime and monitor faults, both of which can significantly enhance operating efficiency.

Mobiltex Data Ltd., of Calgary, Alberta, was the first company to design a product specifically around the STX3. Engineering Manager Tony da Costa praised the product saying, "The small size of the Globalstar STX3 transmitter module was a crucial factor that allowed Mobiltex to design a unique miniature remote pipeline monitoring product that could be mounted inside existing space-constrained enclosures. Coupled with the excellent Globalstar Simplex coverage footprint, low recurring monthly service costs, and low transmitter power requirements, the decision to use Globalstar for this product was an easy one."

Globalstar Value Added Manufacturer Lasso Technologies, LLC (Lasso), created an innovative satellite interface which allows easy and affordable access to the Globalstar satellite network for remote M2M monitoring applications. CEO of Lasso Peter McCormick spoke to the synergy of the partnership and how pleased he is with the variety of uses the simplex technology provides: "We use the Globalstar satellite products to transmit sensor and GPS data back to our web site or the end customer's web portal. We transmit as many as 30 "channels" of data via satellite. Each of these channels might be voltage, temperature, pressure, level, flow, engine data or anything pertaining to what the end customer needs to read to better understand business processes."

STX3: roughly the size of a quarter, the low-cost, easy-to-integrate STX3 chipset enables VARs and OEMs to develop smaller, more efficient M2M solutions. Size and price point make the STX3 ideal for devices that require a backup communication option when out of range of the GPRS/GSM network. The module can be used in a wide range of assets including liquid petroleum gas (LPG) tanks, water tanks, pipelines, remote meter applications, cars, trucks, boats, animal tracking devices and sea or land containers.

SmartOne C: Uses an accelerometer to alert owners of any unexpected motion, and also employs motion sensors, comparative Global Positioning System (GPS) data, and custom configured sensors to gather and transmit asset status information. The device includes features such as a reduced messaging mode, lowering the rate of messages when an asset remains in the same location, and an automatic switch to batteries should line power fail or experience an interruption. The device weighs 3.6oz, including four batteries and mounting hardware, and has more than 1.5 years of battery life using AAA 1.5V lithium batteries.
