Hammerson has attracted Steamer Trading Cookshop to WestQuay, Southampton's flagship regional shopping centre. Steamer Trading Cookshop's 297m2 (3,200ft²) store is on WestQuay's upper level near M&S.  It is only the brand's second in a non-High Street location and will open later this month.

Steamer Trading Cookshop is the latest in a series of brands secured for WestQuay, with more than 4,000m2 (43,040ft²) of new brands opening in the last 12 months.  These include Fat Face's new regional flagship, Jack Wills, also with only its second non-High Street, Cath Kidston, White Stuff, Superdry, Boux Avenue, Timberland, Pravins and handmade burger Co.

Commenting on Steamer Trading Cookshop's WestQuay debut, Sarah Mander, Assistant Director, Retail Leasing, at Hammerson, said: "The signing of Steamer Trading Cookshop is yet another affirmation of WestQuay's position as the dominant centre in the region.  Over the last year, we have added significantly to the centre's line-up of premium brands, with Steamer Trading Cookshop adding to WestQuay's long list of the very best aspirational retailers and restaurants."

Ben Phillips, Managing Director of Steamer Trading Cookshop, added: "The creation of a new store at WestQuay is very exciting news for Steamer Trading Cookshop.  We have had a long-held desire to open a store in what is a very strong region for us, but finding the right location was key.  With WestQuay, we have everything we need and join an already strong mix of brands in a centre with true regional appeal."

Steamer Trading operates from 32 locations nationwide, and stocks a wide range of kitchenware, homeware and cooking brands from leading names in the industry.  These include KitchenAid, Dualit, Joseph Joseph, Magimix and Le Creuset.  Steamer Trading is 11 times winner of 'Best Cookshop in the UK', and won the 'Global Innovator Award' in 2010, which marks out the brand as one of the very best homeware retailers in the world.  The brand is also a favourite amongst some of the UK's leading chefs, hosting events with Heston Blumenthal, Tom Kerridge and Bryn Williams in its stores in recent weeks.
